The Association of Hippotherapy and Equestrian Sports Centaur is a non-governmental organization that has started hippotherapy in Armenia. Our goal is to organize rehabilitation sessions for disabled children through hippotherapy, contribute to the integration of disabled children into society, and prepare some of them for sport competitions for disabled people.

Centaur practices hippotherapy at the "Zatik" riding club, located in the ancient village of Ushi, near the town of Ashtarak with specially trained horses. The owner of the “Zatik” club Aghasi Zatikyan provided the Centaur NGO with the use of his arena and horses in exchange for Centaur providing the horses with care and fodder.

We practice hippotherapy with children mainly suffering from cerebral palsy, autism, scoliosis and other spinal problems. Among our patients were the children from the Kharberd State Orphanage for children with special needs.

Centaur cooperates with the Noragyugh State Rehabilitation Center, as well as with private therapists and psychologists.
